An epidural injection is an X-ray procedure where local anesthetic and, at times, a steroid are injected into the epidural space for the treatment of pain syndromes. - Nerve Block
A paravertebral nerve block is an X-ray procedure where a local anesthetic and/or steroid is injected along the nerve root, usually in the neck or lumbar region.聽 This examination is done for diagnosis or therapy to alleviate pain. - Discography
Discography is an X-ray procedure with a contrast medium containing iodine.聽 It is injected into the disc, either in the neck or in the lumbar region.聽 This examination is done to determine whether the disc is the cause of symptoms.
