Jim is no stranger to º£½ÇÔ­´´.Ìý He has a long history with the organization, volunteering for 30 years and serving as the Arnot Ogden Medical Center Auxiliary President.Ìý On one Saturday morning, Jim began experiencing tightness in his chest and shortness of breath and he knew that a trip to the Emergency Department was necessary.

By Saturday afternoon, a simple CT scan had confirmed a serious condition known as a Pulmonary Embolism. A serious condition diagnosed by a common piece of equipment such as a CT scan.Ìý A medical tool that was cutting edge twenty plus years ago, and today can quickly diagnose serious conditions such as Jim's.Ìý

St. Joseph's Hospital,Ìýlocated in Elmira, NY,Ìýprovides skilled nursing care, out-patient rehabilitation, andÌýin-patient behavioral science services.

Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital, located in Bath, NY, provides emergency care and services for the local community with a newly updated facility, adjacent to the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital SNF/HRF in the Fred & Harriett Taylor Health Center.
